Apparently, someone who was leaving a bar after having a few too many drinks, hit her head on. She probably never even knew what was coming. He survived, she didnt. The worst part is that he barely even got punished for it lost his license and got probation. He ruined so many lives and never even apologized. I have recently heard that hes back barhopping again, so obviously he learned his lesson very well.

A drunk driving accident can happen at anytime and anywhere. Ive seen them in the afternoon and late at night. Sometimes the drunk drivers are the most injured, other times they walk away from the accident without a scratch. So many of my college friends used to tempt fate by driving drunk and somehow lived to tell about it. There are certain holidays that seem to have more drunk driving accidents occur than others.

Your first assumption would be New Years Eve, but that is not actually accurate. Thanksgiving is the most popular holiday for drunk driving. Halloween ranks fairly high as well. I have begun to stay in on New Years Eve for the past five years and I know many others who have begun to do the same. It simply is not worth it. If you cannot imagine New Years Eve without a few drinks, be more responsible about your drinking. Stay home and drink.

Honestly, an impaired driver is one of the most threatening menaces that is on the roads today. Getting into a drunk driving accident may not even affect them. I was personally in a drunk driving accident before, though nothing major. Some man who was drunk and driving without his headlights on, sideswiped me. His car ended up in a fence; I was able to control my car without much damage. Then, he proceeds to get out of his car and try to run. My passenger at the time, wasnt about to let that happen. He chased him and tackled him. Did the man actually think that by abandoning his wrecked car that they wouldnt be able to find him? Alcohol makes people think irrationally and make unwise choices. Getting behind the wheel of a car is one of the worst decisions that an individual can make. Being in a drunk driving accident shows that. Making the choice to drive drunk can affect the lives of so many people. It is selfish and disrespectful not only to yourself but to all of those who may be driving on the roads

at the same time as you. Dont let it get to the point in which it turns into a drunk driving accident. Make the responsible choice to not drink and drive in the first place.
