Wholesale Wedding

I was pretty ambitious, but I was in the unfortunate position of starting from nothing. I had no contacts, had not traveled far, had only a mediocre education, and didn't have the grades or the resources to go back to college.

Fortunately, I was a hard worker and, despite being a lousy student, a pretty smart guy. I knew that I wanted to get into business. After all, even though I had a nice boss, there was no way I wanted to spend my life working in a warehouse, loading orders for less than I deserved. It wasn't awful. The money was much better than most of the other jobs that were available. Still, I knew that it would be a lot better to own my own wholesale warehouse than to work in someone else's.

Then it struck me the perfect business plan. I would start a wholesale wedding supply store! When I told my friends about it, they thought I was crazy at first.

You will make more friends in a week by getting yourself interested in other people than you can in a year by trying to get people interested in you.

Although I had saved up enough money to rent warehouse space along with some friends, they figured it would never work. I had faith, however. You see, my wholesale wedding supply scheme had been carefully thought out. It was the perfect product for a warehouse.

The thing is, if you want to make a wholesale store work, you have to provide a product that people will buy in sufficient quantities. That is why there are so many gigantic hardware stores. People come in and buy enough lumber to build a house quite often, so it makes sense to run a warehouse-sized store. Unfortunately, there were plenty of those already in my area. There wasn't, however, A wholesale wedding supply store.

Nonetheless, it was the perfect product. People would buy wholesale discount bridal supplies, discount wedding invites, settings, flowers anything wedding oriented. At first, we restricted ourselves to the basics. Wedding planners and couples could come in to the wholesale wedding store and buy what they needed at the last moment. Soon, however, we were expanding the business. If we were going to be selling products for wholesale weddings, why not carry gifts as well? Soon, we were not only a wedding party supply store, but a gift store as well. It was not long before people were registering with us. The rest, as they say, is history. It took a long time to get things going, but I never was worried that it wouldn't work out. All it took was patience and hard work.
