Virtual high school offers a variety of courses, including semester and year-long courses. They have programs for academically gifted students, as well as summer school options. Even middle school students can benefit from virtual high school. Naturally some parents may be leery of such a new-age type of schooling. Obviously any high school that offers online courses will have a different structure to it. It's up to the students to stay tuned in, keep up with homework assignments and always complete tests on time. This fresh take on high schooling demands teenagers to take on more responsibility.
