I listened closely as one mother told me about an attempted abduction of her 8 year old son. Apparently he was playing with the neighbor outside of their home, and a man drove by slowly in an SUV, asking the young boy if he would like to go for a ride. The mother I was chatting with, darted outdoors to see what was going down. Obviously it looked fishy. I mean come on, who stops to ask a small child for directions. Anyway, the SUV peeled out of their fast, and they did not get his plates. Scary huh? It's even scarier because it really happened last week. I wish there was a way to pinpoint all sex offenders and make them where sirens. At least we could then know who to watch out for.
