Gas Stations

You may think that gas stations are everywhere you look, but if you are suddenly running low or need directions, you may find there is not one in sight.

It always happens to me, and you would think after a while I would learn to get gas before the needle hits the E. It just seems that I glance at the gauge and see that I have half of a tank and then before I know it, its lower than I want it to be. By that point I have passed fifteen gas stations and suddenly there aren't any in sight.

There are many different types of gas stations too, and there are some that I just dont want to visit. This is often in the middle of the night when I decide I dont want to stop somewhere, and it is usually because it looks a little less than secure. Some gas stations have twenty-four hour service, though perhaps some of them should not. I know people need gas in the middle of the night, but in some neighborhoods, unless you see full service, you may not want to stop.

Perhaps the thing I hate to worst about some gas stations are the dirty bathrooms. If you walk into a station and ask to use the restroom, and they hand you a key to go around the back of the building, you may want to think twice. This scenario has never worked out well for me, and I cant imagine it would for anyone else. These gas stations are often understaffed, and the bathroom is the last thing on their priority list. I have walked into some of them and walked right back out and moved on. Its just not worth it! Sometimes, you have no choice, and in that case, I recommend standing, no matter what sex you are.

Some gas stations are unique, but not perhaps in build. If you go to New Jersey, you will find that you cant pump your own gas. I have a friend who lives there, and she recently was faced with pumping her own gas. She needed instructions from me, even though shes over thirty. The state, for some reason, wont allow self-service gas stations. If you live there, that might be one of the coolest things about the state. Imagine never having to get gas on your work clothes or having to get out in two feet of snow to pay for your gas.
